Hello and welcome to this website.
Whether you are a promoter looking for photos and biographical details or a concert-goer perhaps seeking discography information, I hope you find something of interest here!
I’m gradually getting my head around the concept of work again having spent time, since May 2008, caring for my baby son James.
In the meantime, look out for a couple of new recordings – Haydn’s ‘Creation’ conducted by Edward Higginbottom (‘…beautiful voice and excellent artistry.’ BBC Music Magazine 5 star choice) and ‘Rab the Rhymer’ poetry and songs of Robert Burns, with actors Vivien Heilbron and David Rintoul, and husband Adrian Chandler.
Up and coming performances include Handel at the Bath and Buxton Festivals, the Salle Pleyel in Paris and the Barbican Centre in London, Bach’s St Matthew Passion at the Sage in Gateshead and B Minor Mass in Beverley Minster and Haydn songs in Belfast. If you can get to any of these events, please always clap loudly!
With best wishes
Mhairi Lawson xx
